Mine eye affecteth mine heart...this is what Jeremiah wrote in Lamatations...just like Jeremaiah saw with his eyes all the wicked around him...and it effected his heart...even at one point he was going to quit and never speak the word of God again! In proverbs...it says...
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
So if our eye effects our heart, and were suposed to keep our hearts with a constant effort...we should really be very careful what our eyes see. Every little thing we see effects us in some way...it either adds to our spiritually or takes away from it. And and for me...facebook just seems to be a melting pot anger and depression...though there are the good encouraging things on there too...but no matter how I try to senor what I see on fb...it always seem to show the absolute worse things...and ussally the devil makes sure it's always at the worst times. I'm not downing anyone that has fb...for my husband still does...but for me...I just need to focus my eye's on...
- Jesus said....Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. I should keep my eyes winning souls and the ministry God has put us in...
- Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I need to keep my eyes in the word of God so I can see His wonderful works...
- Romans 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. I need to have the fear of God before my eyes!!!
- Psalms 119:37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. I need to keep my eyes away from vanity...all those empty and void things that will not amount to anything in eteriny.
- Psalms 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. I will keep my eyes on the Lord...for that's were all my help will come from.
